Details

SIBO happens when there’s too much bacteria in the small intestine and can affect people with a variety of health conditions.

Genova’s SIBO Profiles are simple, non-invasive breath tests designed to check for small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO) and intestinal methanogen overgrowth (IMO). After drinking a lactulose solution, you’ll provide breath samples that measure hydrogen (H2) and methane (CH4) gases.

The 3-hour option is ideal for people with slower digestion or constipation since it tracks gas levels over a longer period. It can also help detect hydrogen sulfide gas if there’s a flatline result in the final hour.
